DELLRIDGE CABERNET SAUVIGNON Unlabeled

Known as the ‘King of Red Grapes’, Cabernet Sauvignon is probably the planet’s most famous red wine variety. Born from a natural crossing between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc, it originated in Bordeaux just a few centuries ago and has since spread to most of the world’s wine-growing regions.

Cabernet Sauvignon is a highly adaptable grape. It performs well in a variety of soil types and climates and is marketable as a varietal wine or as part of a blend. Most famously, Cabernet Sauvignon is a classic component of many Bordeaux wines, where it is often partnered with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. In Italy, it is a key blending component of Super Tuscans such as Tignanello and Sassicaia.

Cabernet Sauvignons are deeply coloured, masculine wines with firm tannins and long ageing potential. They often exhibit dark berry fruit and leather along with cedarwood, tobacco and mint.
